Hi! I’m Alison Eden Ditto, and I’ve been photographing babies, kids, and families, since 2006.

First of all, I f*cking love kids. Kids are messy, magical, brilliant, authentic, and tender. They can be mean and they can be mopey, and they can be very, very funny. I adore all those parts. My main goal as your photographer is to truly connect with your kids and capture as much of their complexity as I can.

Another goal of mine is to center moms as much as possible and make them feel gorgeous and special. Women in general tend to be so self-critical, and that is always heightened somehow by our age and our maternal status, as if growing old isn’t a precious privilege and birthing (or adopting) a child isn’t the most glorious thing in the world for our bodies to take on. And our partners often take the sh*ttiest photos of us, don’t they (in their defense, the iPhone can be unkind)? So let’s take some photos that help you re-discover your beauty.

About me: I have two beautiful sons, born in 2005 and 2008. At the age of 33 I started playing bass and guitar, mostly in other people’s bands, but I have released a few songs under the name Ali Ditto. I have reinvented myself multiple times in my life. I am proof that, even in motherhood, even after 40, you can keep getting hotter and more authentic every day.
